Older People's Day
In October, residents celebrate older people in support of the national campaign which aims to challenge stereotypes and encourage people to think differently about older generations.
The day kicks off with a falls prevention class. For those who want to get to grips with new technology ipads and laptops with on-site trainers are available to use.
For those who fancy their hand at something new there will also be arts and crafts alongside volunteer tutors.
The Green Gym will also attend to assist residents and visitors to create hanging baskets and tubs.
At around 1pm attendees will be treated to a free buffet lunch provided by Sanctuary Housing. The day finishes with afternoon fun and entertainment.
The Mobile Library visits Hartshorne every six weeks.
Annual Crafts Class
In September the WEA run a five week crafts course on a topic chosen by the residents.
